The Roswell Mini K47 is now a "go to" mic in my studio. I've had great results with drum overheads and most recently acoustic and electric guitars. Try a 57 or ribbon mic paired with a Mini K47 on a guitar cabinet and listen to the detail the combination gives you. Just recorded Jeremy Hummel on a DW cherry kit with a matched pair of Mini K47s in the "recorderman" configuration. I wanted to get a dry "No One Knows" vibe made famous at Barefoot Studios by Eric Valentine. The K47s capture all the detail of the kit without any harshness on the cymbals. Love these things.
